In 2012 I developed a twitch in my right eye, like many people if stressed or tired, however, mine never went away. Eventually, after 2 years I had an MRI scan and was diagnosed with the condition, Hemi-Facial Spasm. I spent years trying to find ways to cure it that wasn’t (very expensive) and potentially hazardous intensive brain surgery. I still haven’t found a cure, but during one alternate therapy session, I received an ‘inner download’ that simply said….
’Smile more frown less’

This as any fellow Hemi-facial Spasm sufferer knows is somewhat of an irony, smiling is a major trigger for your spasms as is any real movement with the mouth, so many claim they stop smiling altogether. After surgery, many post pictures of themselves smiling unimpaired and it is a truly jubilant moment. This is a song of defiance and a call to find the light in the greatest darkness, I don't always achieve it, but I try.
